Hi!  I moved to the States 20 years ago from Japan. I started working with SAC last November 2014 and really enjoy being with all the children. They are so funny sometimes and the stories they tell always make me smile.  When not at work I enjoy reading and attending my two boys soccer and baseball games.

Chris Bolchen, Inclusion Manager,

Hi, My name is Chris Bolchen and I am the Inclusion Manager for District 197’s School Age Care Program.  I have worked in the district since 2014 and have served in the roles of SAC Instructional Assistant site supervisor at Mendota Elementary and also as a school year and summer special education paraprofessional.  Before that time, I was a language arts teacher for nine years in St. Paul and Minneapolis.
As an educator and parent I am passionate about meeting the needs of children of all abilities and helping to provide a safe, equitable and engaging environment for them to be part of during our before school, after school and summer programs.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my family, going outdoors, biking, hiking and canoeing.  I love music, campfires, good food and the many fish, turtles, dog and lizard that are my pets.
